I must say, though, the memories. Man, I totally remember her saying that. I also remember totally wanting that file browser, except I was too lazy to go install a clone.

oh jesus, i always remember that kid being my age and now i remember that i read the book i fourth grade and feel old, but not as old as (rip) michael crichton.

Actually, the Jurassic Park interface was FSN running on a SGI. It's an actual Unix interface of the time (for Irix). It is a bit gimmicky, but it was certainly real and available.

The interface on Hackers, on the other hand...
